A groom’s cake centers around the groom – his hobbies, personality, and taste. Most of the wedding details, including the wedding cake, are feminine and floral. To offset this, this tradition began in the late 19th century in England to add a “masculine touch” to the wedding.
The groom’s cake can be displayed alongside the main wedding cake, or it can be served at one of your pre-wedding events (Welcome Event or Sangeet) or your rehearsal dinner.
Typically groom’s cake has a richer flavor and, more often than not, includes liquor. A few popular flavors are dark chocolate ganache with a brandy-infused filling or carrot cake.
